Nairobi Club is a distinguished private members’ club, founded in 1901 by visionaries who sought to create a welcoming home-like environment in the heart of Nairobi. As the second oldest and one of the most renowned establishments of its kind in Kenya, the Club holds a prominent place in the country’s history.
Located in the rapidly developing Upper Hill area, just north of Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD), the Club is conveniently accessible, requiring only a five-minute drive from the city center to reach this premier destination.
Job Purpose
We are seeking to recruit an F&B Manager who will oversee and manage all aspects of the Club’s food and beverage operations This position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of member/guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability within the food and beverage department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate food and beverage staff, including waiters/waitresses, bartenders, and kitchen personnel.
Create and update menus that cater to the club’s clientele and align with current culinary trends.
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to maintain high-quality food offerings.
Set performance standards, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback and coaching.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food and beverage costs.
Implement cost-saving measures and minimize wastage to maintain profitability.
Ensure excellent member service by maintaining high service standards and resolving
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote food and beverage offerings, events, and special promotions.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Conduct regular safety training for staff and enforce safety protocols.
Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and report on financial results to senior management.
Implement pricing strategies and promotions to maximize revenue.
Oversee the planning and execution of special events, banquets, and private parties.
Coordinate with event planners and members to ensure successful events.
Negotiate and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and quality products.
Participate in marketing initiatives to attract new club members and guests.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Diploma/Advanced Certificate in Hotel Management/F&B Service from a reputable Institution
Minimum of five years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry two of which must be in a supervisory
